BEACH HOUSE

LONG ISLAND, NY

Design of 6,000 sq. ft. new house, pool and pool house within an environmentally sensitive beachfront and wetlands area. The house is designed in natural materials with simple cedar and shingle structures connected by copper clad transitions. An artificial dune both masks the septic mound and enforces the idea that the house rises out of the natural landscape.

TOWNHOUSE RENOVATION

Complete renovation and design of future penthouse addition to existing townhouse. Scope of work to include a new kitchen, baths, living spaces and roof garden. Design to incorporate existing industrial features, structural elements and architectural artifacts.

SAN REMO APARTMENT

SAN REMO, NY

Complete renovation of apartment including kitchen renovation, cabinetry, interior design and furnishings. Construction and interior layout to accommodate the modern and flexible lifestyle of adults and children in the same space. Extensive storage was built to contain children's toys, a novelist's books and a music executive's cd collection and and upright piano.

APARTMENT ON CENTRAL PARK

NEW YORK CITY, NY

Renovation and interior design of a classic upper west side apartment, including custom bookcases, picture wall and metal fireplace screens. Mid-Century furniture pieces were selected to blend with the owner’s eclectic furniture and art collection.

WEST VILLAGE DUPLEX

WEST VILLAGE, NY

Complete renovation of a duplex/penthouse including an exterior roof deck. The design included a new kitchen, custom cabinetry, metal fireplace and an insertion of an outdoor shower in an existing light shaft. Every effort was made to include original architectural features and exposed beams while blending with the new design.

TOWNHOUSE ADDITION

NEW YORK, NY

Complete renovation of a Beaux Arts townhouse to its original details. The project also entailed the addition of an attic space with loft like proportions including an open plan, numerous skylights and roof access to a new terrace.

SOHO LOFT

SOHO, NY

Design of 2,000 sq. ft. loft from a completely raw space. A "functional wall" was created along one side of the 14' high ceilinged space to house the bathrooms, laundry room and kitchen below and extra storage above. The layout included new landmarks approved windows, plumbing, electrical, finishes, etc. Walnut panels and blackened steel windows and doors delineate the different spaces and create the new rooms. Designed for a screen writer the space was kept as open as possible to allow for the most access to light.

CHELSEA LOFT

CHELSEA, NY

Complete renovation of a 3,000 sf ft former factory for a collector of art and artifacts. The design included a flexible display wall to highlight her changing collection. Lighting and maximal daylight was an emphasis in the project.

HUDSON LOFT

145 HUDSON, NYC

Renovation of a 5,000 sq ft loft for a young family of five. The children’s rooms had bunk beds to maximize space and allow for a play area with a basketball hoop. The couple were industrial designers and the design created a neutral backdrop for their eclectic pieces. The kitchen featured a four inch think marble counter and backslash that was like a painting in the space.
